Any secrets you can share that will keep the bugs from flying in at night?

We spray the screen with bug spray, that will keep the bugs from even hanging out on it at night.

We keep our campfire somewhat close to the entrance of camp, that has always done the trick for us. Or at least keeps the bulk of bugs away

Something to think about when you talk about winter months. Yes certainly less bugs. If you plan on being at camp for long time in winter, there are bugs that are underground and dormant in colder weather. If you heat up the ground, you can wake these bugs up and boom. They are back.
