Jetboil, is it worth the hype?

Jetboils seem to become more and more famous but I personally have never used one. Do you think it is worth the price or would a normal gas stove do the job just fine?

It does get stuff build up really quick must say. It also fares better in windy situations. Overall I would day it is worth it yes

I use mine for backpacking trips or when I want to cook up soup or water fast in the sticks. Best invention IMHO.

For what it is, yeah its handy and nice to have. Just don't expect to cook for multiple people from it.

I have one, and it must be 2-3 years old. I've used it a few times, but just for heating up water for a tea. It has never failed me.

Pretty much my thoughts as well. The only problem I have with mine is the base has cracked and doesn't connect to the stove part any longer.
