How fast can you drive in 4 high?

This time of year we are driving more in 4 high. But how fast are you allowed to drive before you mess up your motor or grenade your drive train?

On dirt? I run out of suspension travel around 55 ish.

Pavement isn't so much about the speed but how much you bind the transfer case turning. I've put my vehicles into 4wd on the highway when it starts to snow on me. The slipping will keep the transfer case from binding. Turning into a parking lot, your better off putting it back in 2wd. When you turn, all your tires move at diffrent speeds. That's where the problem is.

Dirt or pavement. When you say you run out of suspension travel at 55 ish, how does suspension relate to 4 high?

Sorry was being facetious. trying to show high range is fine at any speed on dirt.
High range doesn't care about speed. its about turning and binding of the transferase. as long as you have some tire slip your good.

Listen to your motor and keep an eye on your tachometer, if your motor is pitched high and you are creeping towards redlining, slow down.
