Devos lights left out in heavy rain?

Over the weekend, I got caught up in some heavy rain and my Devos lights were caught up in the rain. While mine turned on the following day, I can't help wonder if I lucked out because the USB-C ports are exposed on these lights. Are these lights weatherproof?

I don't think so. I was wondering the same on mine. A small rubber plug on a tether would be something nice to be included.
After all, it is an outdoor light.
I'm going to send them an inquery.

OK...Wow. I got a reply within 20 min's.
Here's what they said.

My question first then the reply

Hello
I have a question about the light ranger. Is it waterproof/resistant in any way?

I own two, and between everyone in my group we own probably close to 20.
This is a very common question I see on the off road forums also.
A suggestion would be a replaceable rubber plug or cover on a tether.

Thank you for reaching out to Devos Outdoor, my name is Ferdinand, and I will be assisting you.

Great question! Let me help you out.

The LightRanger does not have a plug anymore, but the charging port is water proof and updated.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Best,
Ferdinand

This gives me the impression this was a common question. What it doesn't say is are ours water resistant at all.

I am going to reply again and re-ask my question.

They finally got back to me again. If you have the usb C your good. If not....
I believe when they went to USB C they made them water proof. It does say that on their site (don't know why I didn't see it before)

So I wonder if you have older set, will they cut you deal on new one with the waterproofing?
