Converting a YJ Wrangler to coil springs. How hard is the swap.

I have an old YJ that I would like to convert to coils just to improve the ride quality and get some more suspension travel off road.

Has anyone done this before and knows what is involved? Is it too labour intensive or is is relatively straight forward if you know what you are doing with the welder?

Not hard mate. I would imagine there are plenty of Jeep shops out there that do it as I have seen many YJs on coils

Yeah I would Imagine it is easy it is a Jeep and mods and specialist garages are plenty out there. I would say it is a good choice and worth the time as the coils will make the ride much better while also improving off road abilities
