Best Landcruiser for extreme off road use?

I am looking into buying a Landcruiser to do some proper off roading. I am leaning towards the 80 series, do you guys have any other good suggestions?

80 series is the king!

80 series is the best in terms of capabilities. 100 series if you need more comfort or 60 series if you want a classic!

the 80 series is the most capable for sure. Go for a diesel if you can get one!

Factory turbo diesel twin locked 80 mate. Unicorns but if you can find and afford one you are a lucky man!

1995-1997 is the sweet spot, but in order to get that 'unicorn' turbo diesel in the states, you'll likely only find in a right hand steer.
