Awning with passthrough door to tent?

Why don't 270 degree awning manufactures design an awning that has a door so you can go from under your awning to inside your tent? Seems like this would be a hit with overlanders. It is such a PITA to use my awning and be able to climb up into my tent. Big fail if you ask me, the solution is a simple waterproof zipper in the roof of the awning that will allow you to get up into your tent.

I guess no one thought about it. The one vehicle I run with that has an RTT and an awning has them on opposite sides.

It would be great to have the annex attach. The setup would be custom to the tent, awning and vehicle.
Set up the awning, set up the walls and you have a sealed winter setup.

Jury is way out to lunch, so let me get this right, when the tent opens, this awning door automatically pops out? That sounds like something that is prime position to fail.
