Which Is More Capable Off-Road, Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro or Land Rover LR4?

The “Heavy Duty” package is required for the Rover LR4 to be equipped with a locking center and rear differential. A two-speed (low-high) transfer case is standard on all LR4s. The LR4's recent model come with a single-speed transfer case.
The invention of air suspension is the primary distinction between the Toyota and the Land Rover. Whereas the Toyota employs shocks/springs, the LR4 has an electrical and suction system.
The LR4 employs a system of electronics and suspension "airbags" instead of shocks/springs, which allows for a more adaptive driving experience on and off road, and is generally superior at handling off-road terrain in factory form. The LR4 has independent suspension, which eliminates the need for traditional front and rear differentials.

The Land Rover "Terrain Response" system is considerably superior to anything found on Toyota 4Runner.
The Toyota has a “ladder frame” chassis with front and rear differentials (axle housing), coil springs and shocks. While the 4Runner TRD package would be the best designed 4Runner off-road, Land Rover vehicles were designed to take on the difficulties of off roads and withstand severe off-roading conditions. The LR4, especially the V8 5.0L model with the “Land Rover” AJ133 engine, is undeniably impressive. It is named one of the best engines of the last decade.

Man, either is going to be a beast for you, but the Toyota will be cheaper to modify and make further off road ready
