Sensors in bumpers when swapping out?

A couple bumpers I have looked at don't have sensor spots, so what do you do in case like that? If you disconnect the sensor will the truck throw codes? Or is there way to attach sensors to these sort of aftermarket bumpers?

The short answer is yes you should get a drilled bumper, disconnecting them should turn on a light. On front bumpers it will disable the collision avoidance and can flag codes in whatever that's tied to.
Rear bumpers, it depends on what their tied to. I was asked to look at a full size dodge they put a work bed on. This turned on two lights (dont remember which) The rear sensors were part of the tail light housing. They had aftermarket rear lights. None was happy when I told them to graft the old lights into the new bed.
If you have sensors, you should get a bumper that has the holes for it.
Across all the car lines, this is something I'm starting to see more of.
