Lithium batteries during cold nights?

I know lithium batteries don't like cold. But what happens during colder nights? We have been in 5F and I'm not seeing any quicker discharge, or any problems with my batteries. Now granted they are out of the elements, but still, they are cold and I've had no issues.

Why all the fuss about lithium and cold?

If it is a food battery it will last about the same as when the temps are normal. It will sicgarge a bit quicker but you may not notice it. Older batteries can have big issues, I had a phone that used to switch off at 50% battery when in the cold
