Whats a good Toyota for a camper build?

I'm a Ford dude, and a friend is looking to get into overlanding and has a fondness of Toyotas from a surface level. I was telling him the old school Toyotas look badass, and he should pick up something used and build off that. But not 100% sure which would be best for this. Would you happen to know which has best frame for camper build?
