Synthetic rope damaged from the first which use

Yesterday I used my winch for the first time and I've noticed that the outer layer of the synthetic rope has been pealed off. This is the layer that is meant to protect to rope from UV light mud etc, so it doesn't really effect the strength of the rope but it was pretty unfortunate.

Is there a way to prevent this>? I do understand that synthetic ropes have this limitation

I had it happen before and it such, make sure you do not let the rope to get wound top on one single side of the winch because then it will rub on your bumper and get torn apart

Yeah mate it does happen with synthetic rope sometimes. You have to be a bit careful
