Refilling 1lb propane tanks in your garage

There is a certain stigma with propane. But I keep hearing about people refilling their own tanks. What's involved with filling your existing 1lb propane tanks? I know people are doing this with 20lb tanks. But what fittings do I need?

Buy the adapter, freeze the empty bottle, turn the supply bottle upside down and fill.
When your done, make sure you can swish the liquid around inside. That way you know you have an air gap in it.
I refill mine all the time.
