Putting tracks on your rig for winter anyone?

My brother in law has tracks on his work side by sides. their outfitted with drills and trenchers. The company installs fiber. If I lived in an area that had loads of snow, I would own some.

ha ha ha, that is 10000% awesome. I bet that would be trip to go cruising around the back country.

Speaking of tracks, Story till now just converted his rig to tracks, pretty sick:

Cool, but it's a trailer to location only now. You can't drive that on the road.

I was thinking the same thing. Would require additional truck and large trailer. But still, if I had the space, and the $$$$$ that my wife wouldn't kill me, I would. Well no, actually I would get the conversion van we have been after. THEN I would go for this.

Well yes and no. Tracks don't turn well and don't like uneven surfaces, but they can get you where tires can't get you.
