How Dangerous Is Cold Weather Camping?
The only real danger of camping in extremely cold weather is hypothermia, which occurs when your body is unable to maintain a sufficient core temperature to keep you alive. As a warning sign, you will experience extreme discomfort before getting to this point.
Shivering, cold extremities, extreme sleepiness, and frostbite are all the symptoms you will have before getting to the point of hypothermia. You may pass out if you fall asleep while experiencing these symptoms.

It is relatively simple to avoid hypothermia while camping. The first step is to plan ahead of time. You pack enough clothing, tents, sleeping bags, food, hot beverages, and fuel.

Eating will energize your metabolism and assist your body in producing its own heat. Even if it's just hot water, drinking hot beverages will definitely help.

Warm yourself around a campfire and place several large stones around it if you have one. To provide heat at night, wrap the stones in foil or place them on non-meltable fabric and place them in your tent.

Some campers use catalytic heaters in their tents. They necessitate adequate ventilation to prevent asphyxiation.

If you are in an emergency situation, put on as much clothing as you can and go outside to walk. Continue walking and you will begin to feel warmer.

Well this is a loaded question.

IMHO, camping is camping. Camping in warm weather is just as dangerous as in cold weather or any other weather is you are not prepared. The key is to know the elements you are going to be in, and be prepared. Have lots of water, proper clothes, enough food and know your surroundings.

Very dangerous if you aren't prepared for the elements. So don't get over your head, learn about cold weather camping and first aid prior to heading out.
