Garmin Overlander, is It worth the price?

I am thinking of switching from GAIA GPS to a device based mapping system like the Garmin overlander. Are these devices worth the price?

In my opinion the biggest positive about suggest a device is the SOS functions. For that alone, I think it is worth the money
