Does overlanding in Hawaii exist?

Morning peeps. This is a completely random question as we are preparing to head to Hawaii next week. Considering how small these islands are, do people even overland there? What's funny is that we get out there a couple times per year and I've never noticed any overlanding rigs. Which does make sense considering the space they have to work with. But can you imagine camping at some of those locations with the views and waterfalls?
