Question regarding stickers rules on overland rig?

I've been meaning to ask this. I don't have many stickers on my rig, however I have a friend whos rig is loaded with them.

So, should the stickers reflect the rigs owners journeys BEFORE the truck was bought or the journey THAT rig has been with the driver?

One type shows where you've been and the other makes the vehicle run better.

I'm not a sticker on truck sort of person. BUT if I were to add them, I think I would show destinations that I have been through all my rigs. IF we are talking performance parts stickers, this would be what ever that applies to my current truck.
