Let's have a discussion. Why are so few people using a Pajero as an overland vehicle?

The Pajero is not a bad vehicle at all and even better it is affordable. Why then is no-one using it for overlanding? What do you guys think?

I think people in the US think they aren't used because they never sold well here. In European regions like Spain and Italy they love the things, plenty of them going around.

So I don't think they aren't being used. We are just not aware of it!

As mentioned above they have never sold well in the US and if I am correct in saying the older models where never actually sold there? Or even if they were sold I think the name was montero.

Anyhow, they do use them in Europe but nowhere near as much as the use Toyotas. They are also a bit ugly which may also be a reason.
