Keeping camp secure when out exploring?

Just a random thought tonight about what others do about securing camp when you head out on a longer hike when out camping? Are you packing everything up and stuffing in your rig or ?? Personally I have never had anything messed with. However my friend who went out camping last weekend came back and found their gear had been gone through. Lucky for them, they had nothing of real value that was left out, however things could have gone the other direction fast.

I always put everything back in my rig.

Otherwise some stuff may vanish, from time to time

+ 1, if my truck is near, I'll stick valuables in there. I never leave anything for chance.

Keep valuables in my rig, or on me. But then again if we are out in the sticks and alone, I don't worry about it.
