How many seasons are you getting with your snow chains?

Just took at look at the chains I bought last year from Walmart and these are destroyed. Need to get a good set of chains, and you recommend please?

A good set of chains should last you a lifetime. Mine are 4 years old.

Agree, a good set of chains should last you years. Mine I have had for 9 years. Actually 10 I think. Either way, they are old.

The only thing that I need to replace every other year is the elastic band that pulls in the chain.

Agree, if you buy a quality set of chains and use them correctly, you should have them for YEARS. It's those cheaper gimmicky cable ones that will give you grief.

The only part you should be changing are the rubber ties that pull your chains in. I have those things fail or break, but never the chains.
