Front Runner Wolf Pack stackable storage boxes waterproof?

I found these boxes on Amazon for $30 each and it says "Water resistant". What exactly does that mean with something like this? I'd like to mount on top of my truck for storage. If I get caught in rain while driving, will my stuff in these boxes remain dry?

I use those. The lid locks very well and hangs over the side. Their not waterproof either but I have had mine on the roof during hard rain (on the freeway) with nothing getting inside. There's a bunch of people who put thin foam stripping in the lid seam to completely waterproof them.

If the ones you saw are like these then it wouldn't be hard to waterproof with some weatherstrip.

Agree, not waterproof. But weather proof.

Don't know squat about these cases, their racks are pretty bad ass though.
