What do you know about these running boards? I want to go higher with my lift, however my wife and kids need a step to get into the cab. How reliable are these during winter conditions where snow and ice are building up?

Agree, and that alone IMO is what you need to be concerned about. A friend bought one of those Taxa Wollybear trailers that is so darn top heavy with his tent on it. Not something that looks stable on uneven trails.

Same here. Expensive stuff, wallets and electronics we will place in our truck under a towel or something. Rest is just left in place. Never had any issues though

I'd be more curious how stable is that thing from tipping over. The wind thing I think could be handled with plates going around it. But knocking over would be the larger concern for me.
