You Can Own This Off-Road Airstream Camper Van for a Cool $214,000

I think we can all agree that $214,000 is a big chunk of change…

But as the saying goes, you have to pay to play, and with this new Airstream off-road camper van, you can play just about anywhere you like.

This bad boy is called the Interstate 24X Touring Coach, and as you might imagine with that price tag, it is packed to the gills with incredible features.

Let’s dive in and see what this off-road Airstream camper van offers!

An Off-Road Capable Chassis

This camper van was built on a Mercedes-Benz 3500 Sprinter chassis. But it isn’t a normal 3500 chassis – it’s been upgraded for off-road use.

You get dual wheels in the back, six all-terrain tires, rugged body protection, and 4×4 capabilities so you can get off the beaten path – and way off, if you like.
It has larger wheels and tires, a 3-liter turbodiesel V6 that puts out 188 horses and 325 lb. ft. of torque, and you can tow up to 5,000 pounds as well.
Needless to say, whether your off-road adventure takes you deep in the mountains or simply to the local lake, this rig can get you there without issue.

Off-Road Airstream Interior Features

At a full 24 feet in length, this is not a small camper van. With all that real estate, you won’t be tackling the Rubicon trail in this thing.
However, wherever you do go, you’ll get there in comfort and style because Airstream packed all kinds of luxury into the cabin.
In addition to seating up to six people, this camper van can sleep two people quite comfortably.

There’s a kitchen and a bathroom up front. The kitchen boasts a refrigerator-freezer, a two-burner stove, a microwave and a sink. There are cabinets and cubbies galore, too, so you can keep all your stuff organized and out of the way. In the bathroom you’ll find a shower, a toilet, a towel rack, and a mirror over the sink.

At the back of the camper is a flexible living space and bedroom.
There’s bench seating on either side of the off-road Airstream with a table in between. This setup can be arranged in a number of ways to meet your needs – as twin beds, a single larger bed, or a bed that runs lengthwise across the camper, which enables you to have a sleeping space while also having some living space too.

The aforementioned dining table can actually be mounted at four different locations in the van. There are two mounts in the living room and bedroom area, one in front next to the driver’s seat, and one outside the front door if you want to eat or work in the great outdoors.
If you need to work while you travel, you can get some shade under the included awning, store your work stuff in any number of overhead bins, wall storage, or under-bench storage, and charge your laptop, phone, and other accessories with any number of USB ports. If you need to work late into the night, the interior LED lighting will do the trick!

The amenities just keep coming with this thing…

There’s a furnace to keep you warm when you’re adventuring in the colder months and a water heater so you can take hot showers. The air conditioning will keep you cool when you’re on the road in the summer.

LED lighting is installed on the roof rack so you can light up camp when you pull in late at night.

There’s even a protective coating on the front bumper and down the rocker panels to help protect the body of the camper for those messy off-road trips.

If you need to stop and nap during the day, that won’t be a problem because this off-road Airstream has blackout curtains on all the windows so you can sleep soundly any time of day.

So, obviously, Airstream has taken a lot of time and put forth a lot of effort to create a camper van that is functional, customizable, and comfortable.

Sure, well over $200,000 is a hefty price to pay, but it seems like Airstream has done all it needs to do to justify the price. And with the explosive popularity of RVing, my guess is that there will be plenty of folks who are more than willing to pay that price for some off-road freedom!
