In terms of pure capabilities I would say they are very close – especially when modified. If you also want to do some overlanding and long distance travel the Jimmy may be a bit too small. It depends though, are we comparing the new models or the old ones?

Unlike every other vehicle of this size that claims to be a 4WD but is actually a hatchback with a different body, the Jimmy was built from the ground up to withstand harsh off-road conditions.

The Suzuki Jimmy has a strong ladder chassis, excellent ground clearance, sharp approach and departure angles, and, best of all, a two-speed transfer case with low-range gearing for extreme offload conditions.

The introduction of an electronic stability control to help drivers stay out of trouble if they do something stupid is by far the most significant update for the MY15.

With a weight of only 1060 kg, the Suzuki is a featherweight.

Inside, new trim colors have been introduced.

When compared to other 'great' 4WDs, the Suzuki Jimmy lacks weight, a lot of weight. With a weight of only 1060 kg, the Suzuki is a featherweight, carrying half to one-third the weight of the big dogs.

The Jimmy now has coil springs all around, giving it a much smoother ride than its older models, who used leaf springs. Its short wheelbase causes a choppy ride on bad roads at times, but overall it's far quieter and more comfortable than a tiny 4WD should be.

It has enough height to accommodate large suitcases and other items. The Jimmy would be suitable for day-to-day transportation. It is powered by either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission

Jeep Wrangler on the other side is a big dog in off-roading. But the off-road qualities of the Suzuki Jimmy makes it an alternative to Jeep Wrangler.
