Mounting a Camplux Portable Propane Water Heater in a trailer

As I mentioned in another thread. We bought our first trailer! So excited!! We ended up buying used to save a few bucks for our first trailer. Now there are a few things we want to add to this thing. One being a hot water heater for taking warm showers and having warm water for washing dishes. We are looking at this Camplux Portable Propane Water Heater. Now are these things meant to be permanently mounted in a trailer? Or do you set up when you get to location? From the exterior photos on Amazon, I'm thinking this may need a case to protect it because it's mounted on the exterior right?
