Filling overland tires with nitrogen?

I seem to recall a few years back, there was a lot of buzz around filling your car tires with nitrogen. Is there any benefit towards doing that with an offroad vehicle? I guess the only downside and possible no go with this, is if you need to air down. Unless you have an endless supply of nitrogen with you, this wouldn't be a good idea.

LOL I think I just answered my own question, unless I'm missing something.

Yeah that isn't going to work if you plan to air down. That will be money out the window each time.
