Best Years for Ford e350 Econoline 7.3 turbo Diesels?

Arg Mateys, Im looking to do a 4x4 camper conversion with a Ford e350 Econoline!

Any suggestions on what is the best year to look for as far as having the most reliable diesel engine ?

Also what 4x4 conversion Kit do you recommend as I see there is a few different options ?
Quigley and U-joint seem to be the most popular.
