Wood vs composite teardrop trailer??

I've started to look at different teardrop trailers and have been trying to keep my possible selections below 1800 lbs. I'm noticing one of the first things is some are made from wood and others composite.

Is there an advantage of one over the other?

Composite will hold up better over time, and is lighter. I think has a more modern look as well. Just my two cents.

Isn't wood going to fall apart if you try to take offroad when it flexes?

It shouldn't if built correctly. There are some very good trailer manufactures that have been making wood tear drop trailers for years. That said, personally I would prefer the composite.
