Garmin Overlander vs Tablet with Gaia?

Hey all,

I found a pretty sweet deal on a Garmin Overlander and have reviewed some of the reviews online and honest find myself back at square one. Seems there are people on both sides of the fence recommending and not recommending this thing. What I would really like to find out is how this thing compares to a tablet with Gaia running on it?

Don't get me wrong, I like Garmin products. I have one of their Inreach communicators which cost me something like $50 per month. Buts for emergencies. Overlander is overpriced piece of tech if you want my 2 cents. Go with Gaia, and run it through your phone or tablet.

Agree, Garmin is overpriced in this case. Stick with Gaia.
