Bodega Bay Clamming ? Sonoma Coast

Has anyone been clamming up in Bodega bay Northern CA? My camp neighbor told me Doran Beach is a good camp site to post up to go clamming then make clam chowder later...Sounds like a lot fun!

Anyone know of any off the beaten path alternatives to camp at as well?

No, but the entire northern parts of California coast has some stunning beaches and some incredible clam chowder. Santa Cruz I want to say has some nice reefs worth visiting.
